Morecambe Brass Band Association

 Last weekend the band competed, under the musical direction of Andrew Warriner in the Third Section alongside other bands in the North West Regional Championships, held this year in the Winter Gardens, Blackpool. Competition was high, and Morecambe band came a very creditable fifth out of twenty. The Spanish Hall was alive with some very different interpretations of "The Once and Future King" by Andrew Baker, a piece thoroughly enjoyed by both players and audience alike - though we think Derek Broadbent may be excused from listening to it for some time to come !!
