        <title>Morecambe Band In The Shire Hall</title>

        <description>On Friday 27th June Morecambe Band gave a stunning performance in the Shire Hall in Lancaster Castle.
The band played a very eclectic program including the test pieces  Music For Greenwich  By Edward Gregson and  Dark Side Of The Moon  That the band played for this year's (2008) Regional Contest at Blackpool Winter Gardens in March.         <title>Morecambe March Off Winners At Kirkby Lonsdale</title>

        <description>Morecambe entered the  Kirkby Lonsdale contest the 15th of June 2008 achieving 4 trophies! These categories won were 'Best Hymn', '1st in Section' , and 'Conductors Award' - these combining to ensure the band we also won 'Best Overall Band'.

        <title>Easter Concert 2008</title>

        <description>Morecambe Brass Band hold this year's Easter Concert at the Platform in Morecambe at 7:30pm on Saturday 22nd March 2008. The band will be playing a new programme featuring themes from a number of popular films including extracts from Pirates of the Caribbean. 
Tickets are £7.00 available from the Ticket office at the Platform.
And the doors open at 7:00pm ready for 7:30 pm commencement.

Secretary Bernard Vause says  There is never much time between Christmas and the February Contest to prepare,  however such is the growing spirit   confidence in the band that under their former Championship Conductor Andrew Warriner the players can't wait to return to the Guildhall....the scene of their National Third Section win in 2002. </description>

Taking advantage of the fortnights break from rehearsals a few intrepid souls made it back to Headquarters on 2nd January to give the band room a much needed face lift.

Thanks must go to Janet Marshall, Alan &amp; Ann Marie Bateson, Geoff and Lydia Colling, Alan &amp; Nerise Jones, John Backhouse  and our Secretary Bernard Vause for their efforts with a paint brush.  Well done!
