The band played a very eclectic program including the test pieces Music For Greenwich By Edward Gregson and Dark Side Of The Moon That the band played for this year's (2008) Regional Contest at Blackpool Winter Gardens in March. These categories won were 'Best Hymn', '1st in Section' , and 'Conductors Award' - these combining to ensure the band we also won 'Best Overall Band'.
